In news that is quite clearly *not* a rib or overcooked April Fool’s joke, Square Enix have announced that lucky Japanese PS3 owners can now download the PSOne title responsible for creating blind brand obsessed Squeenix worshipping fanboys/girls the world over; Final Fantasy VII.

However, pay attention to the ‘Japan’ bit as that is the only territory that will be receiving the re-release, with no news regarding an impending European/US release one can only hope that the powers that be realise just how well a re-release would do in ALL territories.

Plus, it would probably quieten down those incessant calls for a Final Fantasy VII PS3 remake for a little while.

Or maybe not.
