First unveiled during last year’s E3, nobody really knew what to make of Asura’s Wrath; the latest game from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm developer CyberConnect2. During yesterday’s Captivate 2011 event a new trailer was shown and guess what, nobody still has a clue in just what the eff is going on in this game.

The same six-armed, screaming protagonist with glowing eyes from last year is shown along with the galactic sized Buddah, attempting to crush the former by jabbing his finger into the planet. While there has been very little in the way of actual gameplay footage, the trailer itself alludes to such a delirious level of insanity that I simply can’t wait to see more of it.

If gaming is escapism then your escape simply won’t get anymore surreal than this.
