In an unveiling that surprised precisely nobody, Tecmo have revealed that they shall be releasing a PS3 version of 2008’s ultra-difficult Ninja Gaiden II.

Just as the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma was an improved conversion of the original Ninja Gaiden title on the XBOX, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 as it is known, will follow this trend having improvements over the 360 version including but not limited to:

– A new weapon – A spiked hammer known as “Genma”
– New giant boss battles not seen in the 360 version
– A new playable character – female ninja (and DOA alumni) Ayane

Developed by Team Ninja and directed/produced by Yosuke Hayashi (he of the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma fame) the title is due to be released in the Autumn with more details to hopefully follow soon.
