During GDC 09 Infinity Ward released a teaser trailer for the widely expected sequel to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. Simply titled ‘Modern Warfare 2’, the title appears to have ditched the Call Of Duty moniker, indicative of Infinity Ward wanting to strike out with the IP on their own terms.

In regards to the trailer itself, no gameplay footage was shown or details about the game (or platforms) as the trailer was more of a teaser in nature; serving just to herald the announcement of the title.

With that in mind, it shouldn’t leave much up to the imagination as the title will surely be an FPS and will equally surely appear on the 360, PC and PS3 platforms at the very least.

Due later this year on November 10th, all bets are on E3 for the first proper reveal of the title.
