Bethesda Softworks have registered trademarks for television and movie adaptations of popular post-apocalyptic property Fallout.

Instead of lumping it all into a single movie, I think that an on-going television series would be a much better platform for the Fallout property, as it would allow for characters that can develop over a period of time whilst pulling in key stories and lore of the Fallout universe unfettered by a two hour running time.

Out of all of the big TV networks out there, I truly think that HBO (OZ, The Wire, Deadwood, Rome) could really give a Fallout TV series the kind of deep characters, involving narrative and mature slant that it needs to succeed as an adult, engaging TV show.
