Ni No Kuni and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Confirmed Playable At Eurogamer Expo 2012
If you don’t know already, this year’s Eurogamer Expo is jam fucking packed with some seriously great titles which are going to be playable right on the show floor. We’ve had the likes of Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, Assassins Creed 3, Resident Evil 6, Devil May Cry: DmC and many, many more already announced.
And to add further fuel to the nerdgasmic fire comes news that Namco Bandai will not only be having the newest entry in their long-running Tekken franchise available for all to play, but they’ll also be debuting the gorgeous Studio Ghibli animated, Level-5 developed PS3 JRPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch *pant* on the show floor too – marking the first time it’ll be playable on UK shores.
Lee Kirton, Namco PR bod and marketing director had the following to say, via press release, regarding the announcement:
“Tekken Tag Tournament brings some incredible new gameplay styles for the franchise with brand new modes, an incredible roster of characters and the most involved and detailed training mode ever created for the genre,”
“Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is one of the most beautiful games we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” he continued, undeterred. “It’s already causing quite a stir within the gaming world with its blend of superb gameplay from Level-5 and incredible animations produced and supervised by legendary Japanese animation company, Studio Ghibli. It’s exciting that we can have both games hands on at the Expo.”
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Ni No Kuni; BOTH playable at this year’s Eurogamer Expo – what more do you need?
Again, if you haven’t done so already, you can grab some tickets here.

If you don’t have tickets for this, then the only conclusion I can draw is that you’re some sort of disgusting pervert or something.
The Eurogamer Expo is due to take place this year on September 27-30 at Earls Court in London.
Capcom Confirms Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile Edition To Arrive On iOS Platforms This Summer
A good few months after the home console release and a few months before the forthcoming Playstation Vita release, Capcom will release a mobile edition of crossover fighter Street Fighter X Tekken for iOS devices sometime this Summer.
In both visual and gameplay terms, the game appears to ape previous Capcom battler Street Fighter IV Volt quite heavily boasting the same, crisp cartoony visuals and the same controller and button layout. Changes to the gameplay will naturally stem from the new tag mechanic and all of the combos that can be generated as a result.
Seems like it’ll be a decent quick-attention seeker then; much like it’s predecessor.
No character roster has been announced yet, but judging by the screenshots seen below, we can at least vouch for the appearances of long-time favourites Ryu, Kazuya, Chun-Li and Nina Williams

Doesn’t look too bad does it? Though it would be nice if Kazzy could stop shooting lasers out of his face, the cheating bastard.
Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile is due to arrive sometime this summer on all iOS 5 platforms except for 3rd generation iOS devices.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 confirmed to release on 360 & PS3 platforms on September 14th, 2012. GAME gets a swanky collectors edition.
The latest addition to the ‘King of the Iron Fist’ franchise now has an official date.
Publisher Namco Bandai has today confirmed that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will unleash it’s unique brand of fistic action on September 14th this year, for both 360 and PS3 consoles.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the first sequel to the Tekken Tag Tournament spin-off series that began way back in July 1999 when the original Tekken Tag Tournament hit the arcades. Just over a year later, Tekken Tag Tournament would find it’s way onto the PS2 as a crucial part of the machine’s launch line-up way back in the mists of the year 2000.
Now that the history lesson is done, you might also like to know that some retailers are being slaves to fashion and are packing DLC with pre-orders of the game.
First up is Zavvi, who are tossing in two DLC characters for free – Kunimitsu (a watered-down Yoshimitsu clone last seen in the original Tekken Tag) and Ancient Ogre (the final bad dude in Tekken 3).
Linkage to the Zavvi deal can be seen below. Meanwhile, other retailers will likely follow with other free DLC characters given that Angel and Michelle Chang were both announced as Day One DLC characters a few days ago.

Furthermore to this, GAME are apparently hosting the only collectors edition available for the game. The ‘We Are Tekken Edition’, comes in a steelcase, has a 200 page artbook, soundtrack and a DVD with hints and tips from various expert Tekken players – including Harada-san himself. All this tat will probably go for £69.99 and i’ll certainly preorder it. Because i’m a moron. Pre-orders for the collectors edition have yet to go live on GAME’s website.
And you want a trailer I suppose too don’t you? Fine, cast your eyes downward you bunch of pushy bastards.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is due to release on Septmeber 14th 2012, on both 360 & PS3 consoles.
